A next-generation, adult-sized full-body performance costume system that uses an internal
stabilized wheeled chassis or dynamic exoskeleton to create a perfectly smooth, low-profile,
and anatomically correct dinosaur gait. This system allows a single performer to embody a
dinosaur for extended durations in theme parks, live shows, parades, and interactive street
entertainment with unparalleled realism and reduced physical strain. It is the ultimate solution
for creating the illusion of a living, walking creature at eye level.

This suit’s defining feature is the complete concealment of the performer's legs and feet, with the
lower body movement generated mechanically.
Internal Rig: The performer stands on a low-profile, battery-powered platform with a saddled
seat for partial weight support. Their legs are bent into a permanent crouch within the suit's deep
torso, with feet secured to footplates.
Drive System: The platform is mounted on two high-torque, rubber-tired drive wheels and a rear
caster. Speed and direction are controlled via handheld thumb dials or joysticks.
Gait & Rock Simulation: A programmable motion platform atop the chassis provides the up/down,
side-to-side, and forward/back rocking motions of a walking animal, perfectly synchronized with the
spinning of the non-weight-bearing robotic leg appendages attached to the chassis sides.
Balance: A multi-axis gyroscopic stabilizer keeps the entire unit upright, even during stops and turns.
Torso & Spine: The performer is secured in an ergonomic chest and back harness that is rigidly
connected to the suit's internal frame. Their own torso rotation and leaning drives the suit's upper
body movement.
Neck & Head Control:
Mechanical Linkage: Via a balanced head rig worn by the performer, where their head movements
are directly translated to the dinosaur's neck and head.
and neck, with motors providing resistance to simulate weight.
Vision: Provided by a high-definition camera system in the dinosaur's nostrils or mouth, feeding to
a head-mounted display inside the head, offering a clear, wide-angle "dinosaur's eye view."
Hand Controller (Mando): The performer's dominant hand operates a compact wire controller
with multiple triggers and switches to activate:
Jaw open/close and snarl
Eye blinks, eyelid movement, and pupil constriction
Snorting/breathing sounds and roar vocalization (with voice modulation)
Tail sway (often a separate toggle for autonomous side-to-side motion)
Framework: Lightweight stainless steel internal skeleton.
Skin & Musculature: High-density foam sculpted for anatomy, covered with a textured, flexible
silicone or latex skin. The skin is hand-painted with an airbrush for detailed scales, color patterns,
scars, and dirt.
Variety of Species: Can be fabricated as a Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, Parasaurolophus, T. rex
juvenile, etc., with species-specific proportions and features.
Performer Training: Requires 20-40 hours of training to master locomotion, head/neck control,
animatronic triggers, and character performance.
Support Crew: Ideally 1-2 handlers/spotters for public appearances to manage crowds, guide
navigation in tight spaces, and assist in emergencies.
Maintenance: Daily pre-check of batteries, joints, and skin integrity. Weekly deep check of
mechanical and electrical systems.
Theme Park "Meet-and-Greet": Allows for extended character appearances with consistent,
lifelike movement.
Parades & Streetmosphere: Provides a highly mobile, interactive walk-around character that
can cover long distances without performer fatigue.
Live Stage Shows: Enables precise blocking, dynamic chase scenes, and close-up audience
interaction without the limitations of stilt-walking.
Corporate Events & PR: A guaranteed show-stopper for product launches or premium brand
experiences.
Species & Size: Custom-built to any mid-sized theropod or ornithopod dinosaur.
Visual Style: Realistic (based on latest science), "Movie-Monster" (inspired by films), or Stylized.
Interactive Features: Integration of sound sensors, touch sensors on the skin, or LED lighting
in eyes, mouth, or along spines.
It is not merely a costume—it is a wearable animatronic vehicle, transforming a performer into a living,
breathing dinosaur from the inside out.
